Nani has had every opportunity in the world to establish himself in the United team but simply hasn't come along in the way every one expected him to. In fact, he looks to have progressed very little in the three years he's been at United, unlike Ronaldo, who came along in leaps and bounds year by year.
Nani's problem seems to lie between his ears, because he has all the skill in the world, more than enough to be one of the modern day greats. But unfortunately he doesn't seem to have much nous when it comes to applying his talents well, and in three years he only improved marginally, if at all, when it comes to making choices between taking on the defense, passing, or taking a long range shot - the latter of which he fell in love with of his spectacular early success against Tottenham. He's one of the most frustrating players I've watched don the United uniform, as he's so capable of doing wonderful things, yet inevitably throws it all away with is poor decision making.
Obertan on the other hand, with so little experience behind him, already looks like a very gifted and unusually mature player who knows exactly what's required on the left wing. Nani's days are therefore numbered, and the only thing holding his sale back is the fact that United will want to take as small a loss as possible from the transaction. I may be cynical, but I sometimes wonder if the reason he's seen a fair bit of playing time of late is to try and push up the asking price.

There was no expectation of him being the next Ronaldo...we just EXPECT him to cross the ball properly... :(
Nani is shit, constantly making wrong decisions, and generally doing "much too much", and looking like a prat. Obertan will easily take his place.....
I would play Obertan......contrary to what Laurent Blanc said, I think he will be a terrific player. Maybe it is just not happening for Nani at Utd, maybe he needs another club. Look at Diego Forlan!! He went to another club and finds himself being mentioned as a 35M player after being consistently in the top 3 goalscorers of La Liga for the last few seasons.

Nani is certainly under alot of pressure especially when he is the closest in terms of comparison in the Manchester United squad to replace Cristiano Ronaldo.
Nani has the potential to be as good as Ronaldo but it will take time and I hope he gets to play more games as well because I believe the more games he plays, the better he will be.
I believed Ferguson made a really bad decision to play Giggs out on the left against Liverpool. Giggs should be playing in a more central role or just behind Rooney. I'm really confused about Berbatov. He has really lacklustre games often but he scores exceptional goals and misses the easy sitters.
Nani would be a really good choice to play out left against Chelsea as they play a diamond formation so it would be really effective to hit Chelsea on the wings.

DECO mind your own business and talk about chelsea.Because you are now talking too much do you think you have already won the premiership title, you better think twice before you open you dirty mouth and talk about MANU.Think of Portugal's World cup qualification fisrt before talking about manu.Who knows you may loose today and if you lose you start to find another excuses.
