Toni storms out of Bayern Munich contest
Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Sun, 11/08/2009 - 00:29
Luca Toni is closer to quitting Bayern Munich.
The World Cup winner stormed out of the stadium after he was hooked at halftime in their clash with Schalke.
It's reported he went straight to his car and drove away rather than stay in the stadium to watch his fellow teammates continue the game.
When asked about the incident afterwards, Bayern coach Louis van Gaal did not appear to know what had happened.
“If he really did do this, then it's not a good thing and we will have to discuss it,” said Van Gaal.
