Chelsea want Atletico Madrid to lower their asking price for Sergio Aguero.
With their transfer ban now suspended, the Daily Mail says Chelsea will be seeking to boost their attack in January.
Argentine Aguero scored two brilliant goals against the Blues in the Champions League on Tuesday but his club has made it clear offers for the 21-year-old striker should start at £40 million.
Chelsea are determined not to pay such a price, even with the ban looming, but will be interested if a deal can be struck for less than £30m.
