Man Utd play down talk of reported rift between keepers
Submitted by Anonymous on Fri, 11/06/2009 - 16:54
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson brushed aside talk of a rift between keepers Tomasz Kuszczak and Edwin van der Sar.
Kuszczak seemed to attack the veteran Dutchman for not offering him enough support during his time at Old Trafford, claiming on MUTV he had asked Van der Sar for advice but none had been forthcoming.
"It is just not true," Ferguson said.
"Tomasz was cracking a joke. He was laughing when he said it.
"There is no problem between him and Edwin - maybe it is just that Polish humour doesn't translate to British humour."
