Notts County boss Backe takes close look at Andrade

Former Portugal international Jorge Andrade is training with League Two side Notts County.

The 31-year-old, who has played for Porto, Deportivo La Coruna and Juventus, is looking to resurrect his career after two injury-ravaged seasons.

Andrade was released by Juventus in April following chronic knee problems.

He missed almost all of the 2007/08 campaign and did not play at all last season following a third operation.

"He is here. We will have to wait and see if anything can happen and give him a fair chance to show us what he can do," County manager Hans Backe said.
