Halford won't lose rag after Wolves axe
Greg Halford isn't about to throw a strop after losing his place in the Wolves first team.
The 24-year-old former Sunderland defender was an unused sub at Stoke City having started the first nine Premier League matches of the season and then coming on a late substitute against Villa.
“It’s been unfortunate but I’m at Wolves for the long haul,” Halford told the Birmingham Mail.
“I see my future here – this is definitely the right club for me.
“There are great lads around me and the management is top class, and hopefully the fans can warm to me.”
Halford’s ambition, he says, remains to make his mark on the top flight at Wolves.
“There are a lot of players like me here who are keen to make their mark in the Premier League – that’s where the manager has done well,” he said. “Everyone has fitted in quickly and it’s been easy to bed in.
“Playing in the Premier League is every youngster’s dream.”
