Chelsea’s Bosingwa facing surgery decision

Chelsea defender Jose Bosingwa is facing a decision on whether or not he should go under the knife for a knee problem.

The Portugal international has been advised that he should have surgery on his troublesome knee but that will force him to miss at least four weeks of Chelsea’s title race as well as his nation’s World Cup play-off with Bosnia.

The 27-year old will discuss his options with Chelsea’s medical staff and will agree with whatever they think is the best path to take.

"The decision is up to the doctors and I accept the best solution,” he said.
