Man Utd, Bayern Munich go for Juventus keeper Buffon

Manchester United are being linked with an end-of-season bid for Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon.

Tuttosport says United and Bayern Munich will battle for Buffon come season end, with both clubs in the market for a new keeper.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson and Bayern's Louis van Gaal are known to be on the lookout for new recruits between the sticks with the Red Devils yet to find a suitable successor for the retiring Edwin van der Sar and FC Hollywood rushing through a number of stoppers since the departure of veteran Oliver Kahn.
