Notts County chief Sven Goran Eriksson has revealed how Sol Campbell quit the club earlier this season.
Ex-England defender Campbell made his controversial exit from Meadow Lane in September.
Magpies director of football Eriksson revealed to The Sun: "There was lots of enthusiasm at first but he didn't want to play.
"I felt awful. He always behaved very well and took care of the younger players but left in the middle of a training session.
"I planned to meet him after the session but he didn't come. He still has not phoned me about it."
