Schuster: Guti was good for me at Real Madrid

Bernd Schuster has jumped to the defence of Real Madrid midfielder Guti.

Guti was axed for Real's victory over Getafe after clashing furiously with coach Manuel Pellegrini during their Copa humiliation by Alcorcon.

Former Real coach Schuster said: "He was one of the few who was always supportive of me. He's a different player to many and has something that makes him special.

"There are very few players like him, but he needs a lot of confidence and, if any, assistance."
