FC Dallas and Hitchcock part ways
FC Dallas general manager Michael Hitchcock will not lead the MLS club next season.
Club owner Clark Hunt decided to terminate Hitchcock’s contract and will not replace him as they are not seeking a new general manager.
"We appreciate Michael's efforts on behalf of FC Dallas and Pizza Hut Park over the last four seasons," Hunt said.
"Michael was an outstanding ambassador for FC Dallas during his time with the club, and we certainly wish him the best in the future."
FC Dallas will now look to hire a technical director to assist coach Schellas Hyndman.
Hitchcock said he thoroughly enjoyed his time with the club, labelling it as an ‘amazing experience’.
“The last four years with FC Dallas have been an amazing experience for me," Hitchcock said.
"Working for Lamar Hunt and the Hunt family has been one of the highlights of my career, and I sincerely appreciate the opportunity. I'd like to thank the players, coaches, staff and especially the fans for their support during my time with the club."
