Stoke City fullback Andy Griffin is a target for new Middlesbrough boss Gordon Strachan.
The Daily Mail says Griffin, a former Newcastle defender, is a January target for Strachan, who has plans for a major shake-up of the Boro squad.
Three names earmarked for the front two are Birmingham veteran Kevin Phillips and Chris Iwelumo of Wolves, along with Manchester United's Kiko Macheda.
The list shows Strachan has recognised the need to bring in experience and Premier League quality.
