Man Utd’s Ferguson charged by FA

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been charged with improper conduct by the Football Association.

The charge comes after comments the Scot made in regards to referee Alan Wiley following the Premier League match against Sunderland on October 3.

Ferguson said Wiley was not fit enough and claimed he kept needing to rest and despite issuing a personal apology, has been charged by the FA.

"Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been charged with improper conduct,” a statement on the FA’s official website read.

"The charge relates to media comments made by Ferguson about referee Alan Wiley following United's match against Sunderland at Old Trafford on 3 October."
