Juventus powerbroker John Elkann has confirmed Jean-Claude Blanc will succeed Giovanni Cobolli Gigli as president.
“Blanc will be the Executive President, which takes on all the roles,” said Elkann, the heir to the Agnelli empire.
“The new set-up is not exactly news, but it is a step towards a more competitive administration. I want to thank Cobolli Gigli for these three very difficult years in which he gave a great deal.
“It is thanks to his work that Blanc can now take on other roles in the future.”
Elkann also commented on the Bianconeri’s current form after the 2-0 defeat at Palermo.
“I am disappointed, but we will work with great humility. There is a long road ahead of us and so much potential.”
