Appiah agent coy over West Ham, Fiorentina talk

Stephen Appiah remains a free agent, insists his management team, Basesoccer.

The Ghana midfielder was said to be signing with Schalke, but a spokesman for Basesoccer told TMW: "We have read reports in the German media about Schalke and we wonder how these statements are being made by someone who is not entitled to speak on his behalf.

"With respect to reports of interest from Sampdoria, Fiorentina and West Ham, reported by Spanish media, we simply say that right now it is too easy to speculate about a player who is in his position."
