Everton boss David Moyes has rubbished reports that Leon Osman could leave in January.
Many expected the former Toffees trainee to leave Goodison Park in the summer with Everton particularly strong in the midfield department providing strong competition for places.
However Moyes told the Daily Mirror: "There was no chance of him going after the Cup Final.
"I see him and Tony Hibbert as the brickwork here, they are home-grown players who are the fabric of the club.
"He was never on his way out. He has shown great courage in working hard to stay here, and he showed great courage again to get us back in the game."
