Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido was delighted with his players after their 2-1 victory over Real Madrid.
Del Nido waved away claims of a title bid themselves, insisting: "I am very happy because we have seen a football game with many chances against a team that will fight for the Liga with Barcelona.
"We will compete, but all the pressure is on Madrid and Barca, who have quadrupled our budget. They are required to always win.
"I saw an impressive Real Madrid, it has been a good battle, though they were missing players. There have been great moments of give and take. In the end the game fell in our favour."
