Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Sun, 10/04/2009 - 11:12
James Beattie says the arrival of former Middlesbrough pair Robert Huth and Tuncay Sanli have lifted the squad.
He said: "Signing Tuncay and Robert Huth from Middlesbrough was a statement of intent from the club. Huth is a mountain of a man while Tuncay is widely regarded as one of the best, if not the best, player in Turkey.
“He looks terrific in training, his touch is immaculate and vision exceptional.
“They have definitely added something to our squad – and while everybody’s always striving to make themselves a better player, at the minute I would just be happy playing.”
