Abramovich happy with Chelsea progress claims Ancelotti
Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti insists Roman Abramovich is satisfied with the Blues progress so far this season.
Chelsea lie second in the Barclays Premier League table, level on 18 points with leaders Manchester United, and top their Champions League group.
Sunday will see Ancelotti face his first major test of the campaign with the visitors to Stamford Bridge, Liverpool.
"I spoke to Roman when he came to the training ground on Friday. He watched the training and said hello to the players," he said.
"I didn't ask him if he is worried. He is happy because his team is joint top of the Premier League and top of their Champions League group."
Chelsea struggled to beat Cypriot champions Apoel Nicosia 1-0 in midweek, but the Italian is confident his side will perform against Liverpool.
"We didn't play well but when that happens it's still important to win because it maintains a good atmosphere in the dressing room," he said.
"It's an important game against Liverpool and there is a good spirit in the team.
"When things don't go well you have to look at it and do analysis to resolve the problem. We've done this and that is my job.
"Liverpool is a big test because they are a big team. Last season was fantastic for them and they have very good players.
"We can win this game if we play better than Wednesday and I'm sure we'll play better.
"For sure I'm ready and it's important the players are ready too. They are because they are used to these matches.
"It's important to have the courage and personality to give our best on the pitch.
"Every game, whether it's easy or hard, you want to take three points but more so against a team at the top of the table.
"Our aim is to play well because if you play well it's the best way to win. I'd like to see Chelsea control the game because Liverpool are very strong in defence.
"They will use Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard to attack so we must be intelligent and read the game."
