Guardado backing Depor bid for Tottenham's Giovani

Deportivo La Coruna winger Andres Guardado is backing their bid for Tottenham midfielder Giovani dos Santos.

Guardado said of his fellow Mexico international: "If he were to arrive, we will be sure of signing a player of great quality and an enormous potential to increase the level of the club.

"He's very good, and I say this not just because he is Mexican but because he is in good shape, even if he cannot get continuity at his current club. It's better for him to go to another team, because he is an important player for Mexico, and here he would be even better."
