Everton's Pienaar admits injury came at worst time
Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Wed, 09/30/2009 - 10:49
Everton midfielder Stephen Pienaar was gutted to breakdown just when he was in such sparkling form.
He said: "I’m still a bit in pain. I’m not sure actually what’s wrong with my knee but the doctor is quite convinced it’s nothing serious so I’ll take his word."
On his form, Pienaar added: “Yeah, it (the good form) started late last season and I was quite full of confidence and I was also fit so when you are fit I think, that’s when you can play the best football, when you are 100 per cent fit. When I started this season, that’s what I was working on, my fitness, and naturally the ability is there you just have to be fit and I’m quite happy.”
