Notts County chief denies Eriksson to replace McParland

Notts County chief Peter Trembling insists football director Sven Goran Eriksson isn't about to replace Ian McParland as manager.

Despite their big bucks, County are only seventh in the table.

But Trembling denied rumours that the club are set to axe McParland.

He said: "Ian's doing a sterling job for us, while Sven has no plans to be manager, I can categorically guarantee that."
