Forlan becomes highest paid at Atletico Madrid

Diego Forlan has signed his new contract with Atletico Madrid.

AS says the Uruguay striker has penned a deal through to 2013, which includes a £1 million-a-year pay-rise. Forlan now becomes the highest paid player at Atletico alongside Sergio Aguero on £4 million-a-year.

The striker's buyout clause remains set at £31 million.
