Kalou: Cup great chance for Chelsea kids
Salomon Kalou is backing Chelsea's young players to prove their worth in tonight's Carling Cup tie with QPR.
"We don't know yet the line up but it would be a good experience for the young players to play at Stamford Bridge in the first team," Kalou told chelseafc.com.
"It is up to the players who are already playing with the first team to try to bring some experience to the game and give some confidence to the young lads.
"It is all about the confidence just to play your normal game when you first come into the team,' the Ivorian continues. 'That is what we tell them in training, that it is still the same game from the reserves to the first team.
"On the pitch tonight it is for us experienced players to show them the way. If they watch the big players they will see them give everything and I know there are a lot of talented kids there in the reserves. I know they are going to perform well."
