Mensah anxious to kickstart Sunderland career

Lyon defender John Mensah is anxious to kickstart his Sunderland career.

"This is a dream come true, and I am here and hopefully Sunderland will do well," Mensah told skysports.com. "I will enhance my reputation in this country. I am not known here like in France or Italy.

"I think I will do well and I want to get the trust of the gaffer here, I want to please him and hope I will get an opportunity.

"I think I will do well this season, and then we can see what happens at the end."
