Allsopp deserved better from Melbourne Victory

Could not have put it any better about Allsopp. Best Melbourne player ever. Don't care what people say. Nice job.

Thanks for your editorial Chris, I think your right on the money with your comments about Allsopp and G.Lord. I was in the crowd one day farewelling one of the foundation players, the tall Austrian sweeper, in a lap of honour. I cant remember his name as he played only 20 games in two years, and his contribution as a comparison could only compare on a small scale to Allsopp. Allsopp had lots of critism, but I would like to see all his assists to goals scored for the Victory. Also in regards to the newspapers, what a shame that you still need a micoscope to find any news in the papers The current profile is at its lowest that I can ever rememeber

You're so wrong about Allsopp. I am so happy he has left us and I hope Merrick will follow him asap.

But on Geoff Lord you are so right. I think I heard the same interview as you. Why can't we get communication from The Victory like this every day??

yes love lordie or hate him, he gets column inches in the media whereas most of the other clubs have invisible ownerships.

Thanks Chris for some well thought out comments. We certainly do need someone like Lord to push 'our' case against this AFL dominated media...and yeh, Danny Allsopp did desrve so much more. For all the criticism he received from some people he certainly gave his all for Victory....Chris, keep the comments coming, real football needs to be given a fair go.
