Bolton boss Megson confident Klasnic can handle expectations
Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson has no doubts new striker signing Ivan Klasnic can handle the Premiership pressure.
“He can handle it — he’s got the personality,” said the Whites boss. "He’s a lively character with a big personality. He has been back to see his family because he hasn’t seen them for a fortnight but I’m sure he’ll get back into the swing of things now and push on.”
Megson also revealed that Klasnic, who arrived on loan from Nantes on transfer deadline day, was surprised not to have been handed a start at Fratton Park.
“When I named the team for last weekend he looked at me a little bit askew, wondering why I hadn’t put him straight in,” he said. “But he came off the bench and did well. Hopefully, he will settle in quickly.”
