Atletico Madrid rejected Liverpool, Man City offers for Simao

Atletico Madrid managed to resist offers from Liverpool and Manchester City for Simao Sabrosa in the summer, it has been revealed.

Diario de Noticias says Juventus had a £19 million offer rejected by Atletico for the Portuguese ace, while Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez and Manchester City also asked about the midfielder.

Atletico chief Jesus Garcia Pitarch confirmed last week they rejected offers for Simao during the close-season.
