Sunderland boss Bruce won't give up on Wigan's Figueroa

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is spending today trying to convince Wigan to sell Maynor Figueroa.
The Daily Mail says Bruce is looking for one final piece of his jigsaw but Wigan are reluctant to sell the 26-year-old Honduran following Lee Cattermole's move to Wearside earlier in the summer.
The Sunderland manager has already signed seven players since taking over at the Stadium of Light and he wants extra competition for George McCartney at left full-back - despite selling a competent understudy in Danny Collins to Stoke earlier today.
