ref ***** bias
man u get ***** luck wins..
then we are agreed that since Rooney was in no position to score, Almunia should not have made the lunge in the first place? =] I've seen penalties given for similar accidents, and whilst the one vs Gomes last season was a bad decision as Gomez had got the ball, Almunia did not so it was simply a bad bit of decision making from the lad.
True, the ref was a bit biased towards United, but I did feel that in the first half Arsenal were going down far too easily. As someone said before me, football is a contact sport. The Premier League in particular boasts physical prowess as well as speed and technique and Arsenal just did not deal with that, end of.
P.s. Fletcher was absolutely brilliant and the only dangerous tackle he committed was the one on Arshavin. It could have gone either way, depends from the angle you see it I dare say. For me he got the ball as well as Arshavin, and taking into account that the Russian was back on his feet to score a few seconds later, it wasn't as dangerous as people are making out. I did feel that the fourth official was unprofessional with Wenger at the end of the game ... it was an amazing game but it ended disgracefully...
do u play football?if yes maybe u understand how the striker react in that situation...u see rooney got the ball but there was no chance to score after he touch the ball..right?if u see the slow motion he just dive after touching the ball and trap almunia with that..but...thats the football.....anything can happen...
it was a pen. rooney got the ball, and Alumnia caught him, not the ball. Given the short time rooney had the ball under his feet, i dont think he could have jumped/fell before contact. Alumnia got in his way, and not touching the ball, so it was a pen
if arsenal player tackle m.u player just like fletcher did at arshavin what do you think m.u fan???of coz u blames, critics right???of coz u says its penalty right?u know what...all of u m.u fan does not understand the football yet...bullshit..just know how to critics the others..do not bias in jugdging..love football..
Mummy, the big bad United beat us mummy, The big bad Fletcher hurt us cause he was so good Mummy. It's not fair.
You illustrate my point, Mr. Anonymous. The referee was in a good position to see if there was any foul play, and to me I thought the ref got it right. Football is a contact sport, this isn't Platini's insane babblings of turning football into some retarded offspring of basketball. He got the ball, so what if he got the player as well? I wasn't aware that the defence were only allowed to put a foot in if someone is unable to shoot, or has the ball a metre in front of them. Arsenal play great football, but depend on getting favour from the refs because they play like pansies, diving pansies at that. Do you know how many dives I've seen Arsenal's players get away with over the years? They total more than anything C.Ronaldo ever pulled off, that's for sure. I know I'm a Utd fan, but the only thing I love more than my club is the game, I would gladly stand up and say that the opposing side deserved whatever.
arsenal should have gotten the penalty on arshavin, not only did fletcher got the man before he got the ball it might also be a hand ball/

D premiership is d worst leagae in d world.it was a fixed draw but unfortunately a cut one used for pool betins.england is a mess.i luv d la liga
Arshavin's penalty claim not convincing you? Go see an eye doctor. It is impossible to have a penalty more clear than that one was.
