Real Madrid midfielder Ruben de la Red admits he's stunned by the passing of Espanyol captain Dani Jarque.
De La Red is currently recovering from collapsing during a Copa game last season and is sitting out this season as tests are run on his heart.
He said: "I was lucky that what happened to Jarque did not happen to me. With all that I can remember from what happened to me in Irun, I am lucky enough to be here.
"Now we must all support his family because they are going through a really bad time. I very much regret his loss and we all now want to help Espanyol."
