Darlington land Sunderland pair Dowson, Chandler
Sunderland youngsters David Dowson and Jamie Chandler have signed on-loan with Darlington.
Darlo boss Colin Todd told the Shields Gazette: "They played the other night at Durham City and I liked the look of them.
"Dowson did very well in his loan at Chesterfield, and him coming in means at least I've got an option on the bench for Saturday.
"His movement is good, he works very hard and he gets in behind people, which is important. He'll get among people and he scored two good goals in the game I saw him in."
On Chandler, he added: "Jamie's a tough midfielder and he’s played for England at all levels.
"He gets on the ball, he's neat and he has some aggression as well.
"It's been on, then off, then back on again, so we've had to work really hard to get them."
