Motherwell crash out of Europa League

Trailing 3-0 from the first leg Motherwell gave themselves hope by taking the lead, but eventually lost 3-1 to Romanian side Steaua Bucharest.

Well took the lead after 17 minutes through Ross Forbes, but any hope of a dramatic fight back ended early in the second half when the Romanian's drew level from the penalty spot.

Two further strikes by the visitors ensured a miserable night for the Lanarkshire club.
