Burton Albion snap up Stoke winger Phillips

Burton Albion are delighted with their capture of Stoke City winger Jimmy Phillips.

Burton boss Paul Peschisolido said: “A lot of people couldn’t believe that he was allowed to leave Stoke City, but that has worked to our benefit because he looks like a star for the future.”

Phillips added: “When you are growing up it is a big thing to want to play for your local team, but I have left Stoke now. To get everything sorted out ahead of the new season and at a good level of football is absolutely brilliant.”
