Middlesbrough intensify talks for Hull's Hughes

Middlesbrough's ongoing interest in Hull City midfielder Bryan Hughes seems to have intensified over the last few day

The Evening Gazette says Hughes, at the age of 33, will be disappointed to have made just one start for the Tigers in the Premier League last season.

However he is said to be fully fit - and he has the experience of playing at Championship level which manager Gareth Southgate is seeking.
