Real Madrid sell 2,000 Ronaldo shirts in two hours

Real Madrid fans swamped the club's official merchandise store for Cristiano Ronaldo shirts immediately after his signing ceremony on Monday night.

Open for two hours, the megastore sold over 2,000 Ronaldo shirts at €85 each.

The demand took Real officials by surprise - with over 300 shirts being stolen due to the security staff being overwhelmed by the numbers.
