Simple fact is Real have over inflated prices in the market, Alonso was worth 20M but now is worth 30-40M given the prices Real paid for others - obviously they want to buy on the cheap and dont rate Alonso highly enough to pay the appropriate price. LFC dont need to sell, dont want to sell so you have to pay the asking price! RBS and LFC have confirmed their financial situation is fine so there is not going to be a fire sale - so Real pay up or shut up!!
On another note why would you want to go to Real??? They simply buy players and destroy most of their careers, look at all the players pushed out of there and without any vaild reason...... Go to Real if you want to pick up a cheque, or go somewhere else to play football and be regarded by the fans!!!!!

Liverpools financial position is much better than Man U and Real in terms of debt on their books.... look at the like players to alonso (fabregas, iniesta) they are valued over 40M, and they want Alonso for 20M....
