i think Barca & its fans should face their own problem & stop interfering with madrid's affair. if not, we are going to buy the whole barca & Nou camp stadium & turn it into our castilla & training pitch respectively. Hala! madrid
Gogo you completely missed the point i was making. understandable. Perez has done a good job at pulling the wool over madridista eyes since he first appeared. Look at the last galactico era. the success was very poor. like the harlem globetrotters - looked nice on the good days, but did not win that much as the balance was not there to be a proper team. Barcelona and Man U have achieved so much more by spending a fraction of the amount and developed young players. It may work, it may not (Buying ribery would be a negative as mentioned but you failed to understand the reasoning). This would not happen with proper clubs, not even chelsea as abramovich is a businessman. possibly the oil-rich, brain-poor arabs at Man City but nowhere else. Make no mistake, had Madrid not got the support of a corrupt government the club would be bankrupted numerous times. Or perhaps another way might get you flag-waving no marks to understand. IF IT WAS TRULY A WORTHY INVESTMENT ALL THE BIG CLUBS WOULD DO IT AS ALL THE BANKS WOULD LEND THE MONEY AS IT WOULD BE GOOD BUSINESS FOR THEM. Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, would be throwing money at Man United to buy players. They don't because it is all just a load of nonsence and these professional companies will not go anywhere near Madrid as it is not and has never been a business. Perez is all about the ego and yet those without the ability of independent rational thought lap it all up.
Rageaholic, you can compare Chelsea with Barcelona or Arsenal??? You're stupid or what??? Look, Real Madrid spend a lot of money for a FOOTBALL PLAYERS not a stars, yes they are a stars at the same time but they are the best football players in 2007 and 2008 respectively! ...Benzema is 21 years old and they bought him for 35 milions!!! Be carefuly please, 35 milion worth Xabi Alonso, older and an defensive midfielder, position which is cheaper than an attacker!!! VDV, Sneijder, Huntelaar, all they are very good players but they don't have that last thing to be succesful with the best club in the world, REAL MADRID! Like Perez said, this players are investment, not waste a money! HALA MADRID!!!
Real madrid are simply buying their way to sucess with all this crazy
spending, they are buying all the best players from clubs that have nutured
these players into the players they are today which there is nothing wrong
with really but this isn't the way football should be, you should earn the right to
sucess by slowy building, bringing young players through giving them a chance
finding your own new superstars not just simply going around throwing hundreds
of millions of borrowed money at clubs, i just hope barca win la liga this year, a team
who rightfully deserve sucess.
none - i don't put from the rough. perez just annoys me is all. he has always been about the ego not the football. If he was he would have appointed pellegrini - the one that knows his football - and asked him which players he wants and then tried to get them. This is what prudently run clubs do. Abramovich made the mistake with Shevchenko. he wanted him, not the manager and it turned out disatrously. I mean come on. ronaldo is at his best on the right side of midfield and cutting in. ribery plays his best in the same position. so only an idiot would spend 80m on the best right sided player in the world and then go and spend 50m on the 2nd best as neither will want to be on the bench. ultimately it would achieve one thing - disharmony in the dressing room. a football man knows that the back up in every position is most effective if you have young, talented players earning a low wage with the desire to try and take that position - and salary - from the star player. i can understand going for ashley cole as heinze is not really good enough any more but why maicon? he won't sit on the bench either and so all it is likely to achieve is problems with ramos. then you have players he wants rid off - robben, v der vaart, sneijder, huntelaar and others - not for football reasons as they are all good players - but simply because someone else bought them and his ego doesn't like that. I'd be happy to see Man United buy sneijder as he is a class midfielder and we could get him for a low price. and furthermore, by destroying the transfer market perez's ego will threaten the existence of smaller, weaker clubs who are forced to pay high prices for players not worth it as they hav to pay off their debts rather than just asking El Rey to write another taxpayer cheque. that in itself in these economic times in a country with 18% unemployment is utterly disgusting. i'm surprised that some understandably angry atletico fan hasn't killed the man
This is what is known of real madrid for superstars players. Hala madrid 4 real....
to Rageaholic: you speak about sucking Perez's *****, you speak based on experience ? how many men's ***** have u sucked b4?
couldn't agree more. with benzema, we have completed our attacking needs. Now bring in defenders. Ribery can always come next year.
it proved a lot alright - that a manager should decide the players not some a**sehole in a suit who just wants to massage his own ego. would not surprise me if part of the contract involves sucking perez's ***** in the showers after a game the hanky waving pansie. they had zidane figo ronaldo beckham and owen and all they managed was a couple of league titlesand one champion's league where for half the game were outplayed by an unfashionable german club with few stars but a team ethic. he sold the best defensive midfielder in the world at the time as he was not famous enough for perez's ego and replaced him with beckham despite him being an attacking midfielder. then he let roberto carlos take the free kicks despite only scoring 1 in 10 and beckham - who was clearly the best at the time and hardly ever missed - lost the knack because he did not take them any more. then he lost 150m (plus wages) worth of players for almost nothing and a poor trophy return. you couldn't make it up. so yes it does prove a lot - perez is all about ego and not about football. so if a player wants to join the circus he can fly to madrid, but leave the football to proper football clubs like barcelona, man united, juventus, liverpool, arsenal, chelsea, ac milan. oh and one thing. your 56m signing Kaka quite clearly did not want to go there. a 56m unhappy player pining for milan. nice move genius
for the fans' sake, your "buying spree" better be focused on defenders next, if you have learnt your lesson last time round
