Tottenham's Bent to open Sunderland negotiations

The Newcastle Evening Chronicle is reporting that Tottenham Hotspur striker Darren Bent is set to open contract talks over a move to Sunderland early next week.

It is believed Bent is available for much less than the £16.5 million Spurs paid Charlton in 2007.
