Bullying Caira out of Aston Villa move no answer to Australia youth dilemma

The A-League is shit... the standard is horrible, the older players are the main reason for that. You want a successfull national team? make the A-league and under 25 league and force improvements from players who wish to continue their careers as football players, obviously outside australia and away from the idiotic FFA

Shame on you FFA you have these boys future hopes and dreams in your hands. These boys have trained hard and made saccrifices and deserve every oppitunity. They should be going with your blessing not having to fight for their clearences. This is just more proof that soccer in australia is behind the times!!!!! Support our yougsters

My son finds himself in the same situation as Reece Caira, How the FFA believe they have the right to overule a Parents rights and assume they are his guardians is beyond me.

Australia football is where it is today because of overseas players, Only the brainwashed and the Arrogant administrators in the FFA would believe otherwise.

Can you imagine qualifying for the world cup with A league players alone, I can't, Not when Pim Verbeek advises the A league players that if they want to play for Australia they should get an overseas contract and compete with the best.

The FFA will hide behind a FIFA rule, yet i read in another article that the FFA are appealing
another FIFA rule, To allow a GHANA born player to represent Australia in the up and coming under 20's world cup, Obviously this would deny an Australian born player that opportunity.

By taking the stance the FFA are taking, will put the game back in the dark ages, As reeces parents have indicated he will not want to play for Australia others will follow. How can this be good for the future of football in this country.

Real poor move on the FFA's part, would really love to see them get stung by the kid now deciding NOT to be part of the Australian team. I'm not a Villa fan but, as mentioned, their youth developement set up speaks for itself, really is a shame to see good talent wasted especially when it's politically motivated. For the FFA to claim that they know what's better for him must be downright insulting to his parents/guardians, I know I would be!

Thumbs up.
