Galliani expects AC Milan top three finish
AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has set a top three finish as next season's target.
On being asked to reveal Milan's objectives for 2009-10, Galliani replied: “Arriving among the first three in the championship and going as far as possible in the Champions League.
“Milan can and absolutely have to reach these objectives with this Coach and these players,” he added.
Turning his attention to the transfer market, Galliani said: “It's my 24th campaign. In the past, Silvio Berlusconi invested a lot of money, but now, seeing the reality, we rest ourselves.
“We hope that next year we can resume,” he said.
“The fans have to understand the situation and I believe that the more progressive already do. Milan had some financial needs that have been resolved once and for all.
“I hope that in the future we no longer have to sell players for these motives.”
