PERTH Glory has denied rumours the club has pulled off a major signing coup and secured Derby County and Socceroos winger Mile Sterjovski.

Internet site Tribalfootball has claimed Perth netted Sterjovski as its marquee signing with a $700,000-a-season deal for 2009-10.

But a spokesperson for the Glory said while Sterjovski's services would be welcomed at the club, there was no truth behind the rumours.

"We're in discussions with Mile, as we've previously stated, and those discussions are ongoing," the spokesperson said.

Sterjovski would be a major addition to the Perth club as it looks to snare a maiden finals appearance since the A-League's inception in the 2005-06 season.

This is a reason I do not visit this website. The only way I made my way here was from an article on PerthNow totally denying that Glory have even signed Mile.

Unsubstantiated articles with no evidence behind them making wild rumours (even though they are claiming a factual event). That's why this website will always be a second rate player agents haven.

I smell nothing but speculation.

No quotes from the player or club and no source, I could come out on some random blog and say the same thing, doesn't mean it's going to happen.
