Johan & lol: We're talking about an Aussie club doing the spending in this case.
A-League clubs have sold players for these kind of prices but never purchased them.
The proceeds from the sale of players like burns, york & djite would have helped the clubs pay off debts & expenses. Making a $500,000 purchase is totally different as it's a massive risk for any a-league club.
