Wigan to change JJB to DW stadium

Wigan Athletic's stadium is set to be renamed.

The Manchester Evening News says Wigan's JJB Stadium home is to become the DW Stadium from next season.

Chairman Dave Whelan will see his initials being incorporated into the stadium's new title.

The distinctive DW label also coincides with Whelan's return to the sport's retail business this week whilst the title change also further endorses Whelan's continued support for the Premiership club.
