Del Piero sees Inter Milan lead cut shorter

Juventus captain Alessandro Del Piero has indicated that he believes Inter Milan still enjoy a healthy lead at the top of the Serie A table.

Del Piero, speaking to the media following his match winning goal against Siena on Sunday, said: “The road is still very long, we have to show that we deserve to be in this position. Today, we won with sheer bloody mindedness in a game that wasn’t all that brilliant.

“Inter are now a little closer, but they still have to lose a lot of ground. Anyway, there is still a long way to go in this championship.”
