Ghana step up bid for Man Utd striker Welbeck

Ghana are stepping up their pursuit of Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck.

Both of the Manchester United starlet’s parents were born in Ghana and the national team coaches want him to join their squad for the 2010 qualifying campaign.

The Manchester-born striker has played for England at youth level but could still play for the African nation.
