Southend reveal Chelsea now "vulnerable"

After their FA Cup draw at Stamford Bridge, Southend manager Steve Tilson admitted they could see chinks in Chelsea's armour.

"They did look a bit vulnerable in the air," said Tilson. "They missed John Terry [suspended] at the back, he's a leader and wins things in the air, there's no doubt about that. Everyone can see that.

Southend defender Peter Clarke added: "Of course we spoke about the problems they had been having at home.

"We watch the football, we watch Match of the Day and the Premier League games. We've seen that 80-odd [unbeaten home] game run come to an end. We believed that there was possibly a chink in the armour. We set out our stall, we worked hard during the week, and had a game plan."
