you should be a manager, I always like Igor Akinfeev, I don't know why Hughes is not thinking about him. I saw Akinfeev play in EURO 2008 and he was amazing. I thought that he plays in the top leagues like England or Italy but no, he plays for CSKA Moscow in Russia, so it's easier to get him into Man City because players outside the top leagues always like to come in the top leagues.

18mil for santa cruz has got to be the biggest waste of money in the world, if mark hughes doesn't get satisfactory results with him, then it's fair to say that this buy just dug his grave even further.

heres some advice, man city should buy only 4 more world class player at this position - left back, def midfield, goalkeeper, and another target striker... You already got world class player such as Robinho, Elano, S.W.Philip, Dunne, Micah Richard, Petrov and another rising star such as Vincent Company and Ireland.... RS.Cruz is not worth 18mil, just invest a lil bit more, and you can get the unsettled Drogba... Bridge is also worthless, instead try to acquire Lescott, There are a lot of good Goalkeeper, rather than going crazy for Casillas or Buffon, try to acquire some player that is very good but not that hard to get, such as Given or Russian goalkeeper Akinfeev. And there is a lot of worldclass Defensive midfielder in the world that is available such as De Jong or Veloso... with this combination, man city should be in the top 8 position instead of the relegation spot.

£18M for a £3.5M player with one good season in his career and a terrible injury record to boot. RSC is never worth 50% more than Bayern want for Podolski, who is a younger better player! We would be getting fleeced at £9M. R Madrid interested..Fat Sam's having a laugh. All the money in the world and Hughes signs this sicknote. Goals scored this season - 3. Sturridge and Jo have scored more and we haven't been playing them. He is even out injured now!. If Hughes wants to work with players of the standard that Blackburn can afford then why did he not stay there. He obviously can neither attract nor manage world class stars. Considering the squad he inherited, £70M spent in the summer to be 2 points off relegation is an insult. Hughes you have made City into a laughing stock. You are delusional if you think you are getting 5 transfer windows to make City competitive! We need to sign world class stars now to have any chance of a run at 6th place, we are so far behind its prob gone anyway.
