Spurs keeper Gomes: I'm nearing my best

Heurelho Gomes feels he's showing his best form since arriving at Tottenham.

"I want to be at the top and I'm happy with my form, my performances have been better," Gomes told the Spurs website.

"The last two months have been better than the start and I'm helping my team-mates, that's important.

"Everyone here has helped me so much and that means a lot to me.

"But the most important thing is the team and we lost, so that's not so good. It was such a disappointment to lose at West Brom. The goal was a foul in my opinion and it was a crucial moment. Everyone was down.

"The team is most important, always. On Sunday, Tony (Parks, his coach) said to me afterwards 'come on, you did well' but for me, when I play well and the team loses, it's no good. I just want us to win."
