Ramos blocks Portsmouth move for Real Madrid's Drenthe

Real Madrid coach Juande Ramos has blocked Royston Drenthe from moving to Portsmouth.

Sport says Pompey's Dutch coach Johnny Metgod wants to bring Drenthe to Fratton Park after Lassana Diarra's move to Real.

But while some directors were keen for the deal to happen, Ramos moved to block it as he sees Drenthe as a key player this season.
